Lideresas
La enorme desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres, sobre todo en puestos de responsabilidad y
liderazgo sigue siendo abrumadora. Se han dado grandes pasos, pero todavía queda mucho por hacer.
Este desequilibrio se hace aún más patente cuando la edad de las personas aumenta, siendo
las mujeres mayores, sobre todo las mayores de 65 años, las grandes afectadas. Aunque ellas
siguen jugando un papel esencial como sustento de las familias, encargándose del cuidado de
nietos, pareja y otras personas mayores, sin embargo, para la sociedad, son invisibles.
Este proyecto pretende devolver la mirada hacia ellas. Para ello, hemos recreado e invertido
fotografías icónicas o muy reconocibles donde se muestren líderes masculinos, en cualquier
ámbito de la sociedad: política, ciencia, artes, religión…cualquiera, realmente.
Al invertir las imágenes, las nuevas protagonistas son «Las Lideresas de Villaverde», un grupo
de mujeres mayores de un barrio obrero de Madrid, que juntas desarrollan actividades que
buscan dar voz y luz a la mujer en la sociedad.

Female Leaders
The enormous inequality between men and women, especially in positions of responsibility and leadership, remains overwhelming. Great strides have been made, but much remains to be done. This imbalance becomes even more evident in the older women, especially those over 60, the large absentees in command posts. Although they continue to play an essential role as a support for families, taking care of grandchildren, husband and other elderly people, however, for society, they are invisible. This project aims to return the look towards them. For this, we have recreated and turned iconic or very recognizable photographs where male leaders are shown, in any area of society: politics, science, arts, religion ... any field, really. By flipping the images, the new protagonists are "Las Lideresas de Villaverde", a group of older women from a working class neighborhood in Madrid, who together develop activities that seek to give voice and light to women in society.
